@TUFKAK reminded us about that recently
But it doesn't change my original point that Reagan didn't immediately respond to a massive attack on American military personnel with a significant retaliatory strike. In a sense, both his and Biden's actions in the proximate aftermath of their respective situations are remarkably similar.
I don't disagree with you. As someone involved in the invasion of Grenada, it was hard to not see Reagan as the guy who would do all harm. Plus, my original post was thinking completely about the response to the Iranian Navy as I was stationed out there and hoo haw'd like the rest of them.

That memorial in Star Trek Online consists of a name on a marque that has the names of everyone that has passed away from the franchise. On a similar note, just last week Walter Koenig (Chekhov) gave an interview where he praised the young actor that played his character, and it was a pretty moving choice of words to honor the young man.
On a more important note: If they're making a new Star Trek, please let it be true!

I always wondered if they were going to do a second season. I told so many people about this show, but finally gave up cause they figured it wasn't all that interesting. It's a hard show to explain without giving it away. Same as For All Mankind.

There are some fights that you should just avoid because you go to war with the army you have, not the one you wish you had.

I find it amazing how people forget how we demolished the Iranian Navy and several oil platforms over the period of 8 hours when Reagan was president because they attacked one of our destroyers.

Biden says he has decided on response to deaths of U.S. soldiers in Jordan
WWW.NBCNEWS.COM
The deaths at a base in Jordan on Sunday are the first in months of attacks by Iran-backed militants since the Israel-Hamas war began.Part of me wishes for someone like Reagan in office when something like this happens to us. I may not have liked a lot of his policies, but enemies knew that when you came up against the US, you didn't want Reagan making decisions.

In all honesty there shouldn't be a death penalty. It's an easy way out for subject at hand. Let them suffer in a jail cell for life. Like, if someone is up for the death penalty they should rot in 24 hour confinement until they die.
They need to invent that hood from the Apple TV show Foundation and then lock them in a dark room for the rest of their lives. Let them enjoy that for the horrors that it presents.

I didn't know you could just, like, appeal to the Supreme Court!
I appeal to them almost daily. It's usually in response to the drink choices in the cafeteria, but so far it hasn't amounted to any changes.

For some reason, the Democrat Party contacted me months ago and indicated they wanted me to think about running for local office.
I don't know what got them to think I would be a good person to run for office, but over months, they kept contacting me, and now want to set me up to speak to one of their "specialists" this week to see if there's some way to de4velop me for a local political office. Being bored, I said sure, I'd take the call and we can talk about it.
I wonder how they'll respond when they discover I'm actually a Republican. Part of me suspects they already know because I live in Texas where the Republicans control everything, and I'd be the type of Republican they'd rather have in office (i.e. non Trumpian).
Anyway, thought it was both funny and interesting as I'm a college professor, not a politician.

OMG I see, it’s an APP they install on all their devices that monitors all their activity and then sends a report to their “accountability partner”..which in this case is his son.
Fucking wild that these people who are otherwise paranoid everyone is spying on them are willing to give this insane kind of data to who knows who.
Also, he better not conduct ANY business on any devices with that app installed.
What amazes me is that they need to have an app installed just to avoid porn. Why aren't they already making sure it's not a desire at all, if they're the Jesus freaks they claim to be? When I went to the Academy, we vowed never to lie, cheat or steal nor to tolerate anyone that did. NOT ONCE did we have to install an app to make sure we were following the creed. It's like their religious affirmations are just posturing, but that's kind of how I felt about it from the start.

I was in Best Buy the other day and was shocked at how small their Bluray selection was. That makes this announcement not much of a surprise.

She sings a lovely song about if, you should watchThat said the dude played 100 hours of it and liked it but there’s too much loading, too much jank, the map is awful, a lot of busywork would be resolved if you had a cellphone, and it’s weird that the game makes you walk on every planet you get onto when the wheel was invented long before space travel.
Unfortunately, space ships were made by Elon Musk, and he hadn't given any thought to fitting cars into them, so all space ships have entranceways that fit people on foot, but not large enough to fit motorized vehicles.

I'm confused. Did they change the requirements? You're supposed to be a natural born citizen, not a naturalized citizen.

They're going to auction off Melinda Gates.

I work for a company that has an office in Israel and strong ties to the region. The Monday morning meeting was very emotional and heartbreaking.
It's very emotional for a lot of people. I'm not Jewish, nor do I know anyone there, but the whole thing bothers me so much. I don't side with either faction, but I hate that these sorts of things are happening and don't care which side started it.

Yeah, it's probably a bug.

That Gettysburg paper. What a mighty F paper that made. How wonderful. How unbelievable. According to the great general, Obi Wan Kenobi, never fight a battle uphill, or when someone else has the higher ground, just like Robert E. Lee said many a long time later in some place far, far away.
