  1. If there are any reports of pro-Trump groups assembling there, you have my word that I will drive by and relentlessly mock those dorks as losers.
  2. We’ve noticed a National Guard helicopter circling around our neighborhood for the past few hours, and only just now discovered that that warehouse where the ballots are being counted is blocks away from our apartment. This is your Thursday night update from Allegheny County.
  3. I can't think of any states with a Republican governor + legislature where such a move wouldn't end with phenomenal violence.
  4. This is where journalists need to be careful with their verbiage- those ballots aren't 'coming from' anywhere, they are already there. Just gives a little more fuel to all the morons who think ballots are still being collected.
  5. The Trump campaign literally has no argument to make in front of SCOTUS. Bush vs Gore was decided on the basis that different recount processes within the state violated due process; whether the ruling was right or wrong, it was procedural in nature and rooted in what would 'harm' the voters. There's no similar argument to make here...Once you mail your ballot, you have officially cast it - you cannot change your mind. A vote postmarked on November 3rd is the exact same as an in person vote on November 3rd, and voters are not harmed by how long it takes to count the vote they cast (it's not like every in person vote is counted on Election Day, either). Bush vs Gore was a matter of exploiting judicial philosophy, this would be a matter of creating something out of absolutely nothing.
  6. Trump needs about 60% of those votes to make up the difference; 350k of those ballots are in the two Democratic strongholds (Tucson and Phoenix); of the counties mentioned with >10k ballots left outstanding, only one (Yavapai) is at or exceeding the type of margin Trump needs. So at this point it is much to do about nothing.
