Jaw about hit the floor when I looked at the daily case numbers in my part of Michigan. We're up to over 600 cases a day. That's a staggering jump as we've been hanging around 200 daily cases for a lengthy amount of time. Our hospital system moved to a red status, which it hasn't done since the beginning of the pandemic as they're at almost 400 covid patients. At the rate it's exploding here, I'm expecting to hear news of mobile morgues being setup soon. 85% of the covid patients overall are unvaccinated and of those on life support, the unvaccinated make up 97% of the patients.

Looks like we're #1 again. Not really sure how to feel about this, I'm boosted, I've done all I can to protect myself, and I just cannot muster up concern for those who refuse a vaccine at this point. I would love to know what it is about this state that causes such drastic spikes in cases. We were the oddball state at the beginning of the pandemic too. Our vaccination rate isn't amazing, but it's also far from the worst. We're at 70% with at least one dose. Michigan is now worst COVID-19 hot spot in nation; hospitals pushed to capacity WWW.FREEP.COM Michigan catapulted Tuesday to the worst COVID-19 hot spot in the nation, as the case rate rose to 503.8 per 100,000 residents, according to the CDC.

PC Valve drops a Tim Epic-approved steamer!

Tis the season of handheld delays apparently. The Playdate got pushed back to 2022 as well. -
According to Ohio State University, long-term side effects from vaccines have never been a thing. The whole modern paranoia clearly stems from the nutty autism conspiracy theory that continues to be a thing since parents cannot possibly accept their child was born autistic and we're better at diagnosing it than we were in the past. How can we know the COVID-19 vaccine won’t have long-term side effects? WEXNERMEDICAL.OSU.EDU How could we possibly know whether long-term side effects are possible, when COVID-19 vaccines just began clinical trials in 2020? An @OSUWexMed infectious disease...

This is what drives me crazy about the symptoms of covid. I essentially live with a permanent sinus infection, so it's a roll of a dice as to how I'll feel each day. I'd have to get tested constantly with my symptoms aligning so closely with that of covid so I play the smelling game all the time just to check if it's covid or just me.

God Incredible Crisis pissed me off because the timing was so brutally unforgiving, but damnit did that game have such a great ska soundtrack.

Got my Moderna booster on Tuesday. Surpised how easy it was, outside of setting it up online, not a single question was asked. Just as the medical experts stated, symptoms were very similar to that of the second shot. Felt fatigued all day and had body aches, with the feeling of that of the onset of a cold. Felt worse as the day progressed, and while I felt warm, I never developed a fever like I did with the second shot.

Set up my Switch OLED tonight and all I have to say is wow, what a difference that screen makes. It's not just the fact it has an OLED panel, the fact Nintendo finally got rid of that air gap between the screen makes a difference as well. Also impressed by the build quality, it's the most premium feeling product Nintendo has ever made and so far these Joycons don't sound like they're shaking themselves apart when they vibrate unlike my launch ones. Glad I made the decision to sell my launch unit and upgrade to this.

Doh, did not realize there were multiple players in such a niche market category. How does Quarter Arcade's quality compare to Replicade? -

@chakoo I heard a Zoo Keeper one is coming out. How do you get notifications about pre-ordering them? I'm potentially interesting in getting one of these things finally as I always had fun with that arcade game as a kid. -
I'd try to see if there is a community out there like Pinside is for pinball collectors. You could also see if there is a video game group in your area who might have potentially interested buyers as well.

It's apparently glass this time around. Nintendo Switch OLED review: "Clearly the best version, but complicated to recommend" | GamesRadar+ WWW.GAMESRADAR.COM Looks aren't everything, the old saying goes, but when the Nintendo Switch OLED is this good-looking it's hard to deny that looks are definitely important. As the name...

Twice a week isn't bad, it's more so doing it constantly and never giving your body a rest period. You're fine though, you're working out the healthy way, and not injecting chemicals into your body to push your muscles past their natural abilities. Besides, if you're wearing a proper mask in public, it's not exactly the end of the world to have days when you've worked yourself hard. I did it yesterday myself as I was feeling good enough to extend my run. I'm just going to take it easy today, and run at a slower pace to give my muscles time to recover.
