We don't trust our water systems. I get a letter every year from Passaic Valley telling me that our water has detectable levels of lead in it. Every year without fail. I'd borderline say it will never get fixed but it basically has to. Assuming my area is still habitable in our dystopian future. I legit use bottle water or filtered water for coffee and cooking.

To back up your sentiment we don't really have multigenerational homes. Ny grandma had Alzhimer's and we couldn't take care of her I had to work and mom is a workaholic. We sent her to my aunt's house in Colombia and that worked out better I feel. It sucked I couldn't see her but I felt more comfortable about her being with family as opposed to in a nursing home or adult day care or whatever. I listened on chapo a few weeks ago about an article that Medicaid can take your home from you when you die as a way of reimbursement for coverage. We are a cruel society.

I guess I have to learn that if I want to do this. I'm an intellectual so like writing books I guess is my ideal job but making even if it's just parasocial relationships sounds nice and ya kno I'd rather earn income from like donations from my work then a salary or book sales. My job isn't terrible it's technically great but it's a job in capitalism so it's alienating. I'd want to be like a teacher or a therapist but you need a masters for those. Which I find crazy because atleast with therapists there is a a test I'd have to pass. You could hypothetically just let people take a test on being a therapist and I dunno just let them fail it if they don't know enough. That wouldn't keep people in student debt though. Yes I am complaining about that making society a "meritocratic" is a great way of putting people in student debt and locking them into whatever decent or better job they want. Employer provided health care is a feature not a bug. I can't just up and quit a job I don't particularly find fulling because I need diabetic meds and SNRI meds and those cost alot for one that I'd basically die without. It's all about getting these dead presidents though.

From my mother I think people just flat out don't understand probability and statistics. Not in the definition of those things but their minds don't understand the concepts. My brother in Christ as a person that is technically only alive because suicide was never as easy as getting a loaded gun and pulling the trigger. Papa you're gonna be better off without the gun in your house. It's just safer. I still wouldn't buy even a ww2/ww1 era rifle because I the chances of me shooting myself isn't 0. If it ever becomes that sure but at this point no. Maybe like the old caliber Martini-Henry or rifles that use paper cartridges. I need/want that delay of I have to make my own/buy ammo atleast.

Certified bruh moment. I was playing Company of Heroes 3 since launch at 1080p. The game defauled to borderless windowed and 1080p. Had to switch to full screen to get 5120 by 1440p. Game looks alot better.
