  1. There should be no difference between CPUs for just watching videos. Oh and oops, I picked the wrong board. This one would be better, but yes either one supports at least 3 fast SSDs: Just a moment... PCPARTPICKER.COM
  2. Oh yeah, I forgot a cooler. You can get a good air cooler for $40+ or a liquid cooler for around $100. You don't need to spend much, in fact most of the price of spending more is really about making it look cool with RGB and stuff. Video decoding will be handled by the GPU. The Intel processor will be better if you do productivity that needs more cores, like video editing and such. I'd lean more towards the AMD CPU for your situation, and it's also rumored the next gen of AMD CPUs are going to be a big improvement and should be compatible with the motherboard. The motherboard has multiple PCIE 5.0 slots (one for an SSD, one for a GPU) in case that becomes relevant in the future. Revised list: Just a moment... PCPARTPICKER.COM
  3. The non-Ti is a slightly better value. 12GB of VRAM will start falling off after the console refresh cycle happens, but should hold its own as the current consoles give devs access to about 12GB of VRAM so that's what cross-platform games will target. That appears to be a quality Seasonic-made unit, so it will probably be fine to use but be prepared to get a new one. You will know if it's bad if you get crashes while gaming or some other high-powered load. If you go with an AMD CPU they require less power which should help, and the 4070 also doesn't use much power either. So, while I haven't searched for the absolute best value parts, something like this: Just a moment... PCPARTPICKER.COM
  4. It could be a lost cause. A couple of years ago my Windows (notably explorer.exe) was acting funny and had poor performance while gaming. I tried every single fix and optimization I could find, including half of those commands. Nothing worked, so I caved and did a fresh install of the OS. My problems were finally solved after that. You could try a reset that keeps your files, which basically copies over your documents folder and resets everything else. But it's probably best to wipe everything. Get an external drive and copy over any files. If there are program settings you'd like to transfer, then copy over your entire C:\Users folders and make sure it includes your AppData folder (which is hidden by default at C:\Users\username\AppData) since that contains most of the settings for your applications.
  5. Have you tried checking your file system for errors? In the command prompt, try these:
  6. So he wanted to see what happens if he made Batman kill but he didn't explore that at all. No explanations, justifications, or dilemmas. Killing was just an everyday activity for Bruce in those movies.
  7. How many of those 282 million are US citizens, hmmmmm???? VOTER FRAUD! CLOSE THE BORDER!
  8. I've come across those enemies but don't recall that move. There are only 3* of those enemies in the game and they are in late-game areas. So you'll be high leveled and unlikely to be grabbed when you meet them because you'll generally know how to fight them by then. *3 of those variants. They exist as non-rotten versions earlier in the game.
  9. Beat bosses to gain the most runes. Before going into a dangerous area spend all of your runes to level up. Save the Golden Rune pickups as emergency money. Caelid+Dragonbarrow (the south east area) gives you a lot of runes for bosses. A couple of enemies can be cheesed without fighting them for some quick runes you can get right from the start of the game. You can make a Night's Calvary jump off a bridge by just luring him to a spot with kukris. Greyoll, the largest sleeping dragon, can be killed easily with any bleed weapon.
  10. Yes, it carries over and from what I can tell carries over both ways. You can teleport to/from the DLC and the main game and any graces. It'll be a new area on the map that you have to do a "quest" for to access much like you have to do to access Haligtree or Mohgwyn Palace. Specifically, you have to beat Mohg to gain access to it.
  11. Welp, finished it. The show stumbles past the opening episodes. Some questionable choices on which character-building moments to omit and which to spend time on. Even more questionable in that they attempt to stay true to certain banger moments from the animated series but most of the build-up leading to those moments was cut or reduced so they don't hit as hard. They also copy dialogue from the animated series that doesn't make sense for live-action-only viewers. I'm not a fan of the voice-over narrations at the end of some episodes. One is particularly bad because it literally just states the obvious from what we had already saw previously in that episode so it's just a wasted 5 minutes they could have used for other characters. While I'm fine they cut out a lot of the goofiness from the animated show, they also just cut out other stuff too that was important and don't replace it with anything worthwhile. They really should have had at least one more "side-adventure" journey to flesh out both Team Avatar and Team Zuko. And it's odd that...
  12. Through episode 4 now and the show has definitely condensed, remixed, and reordered some storylines. A few arcs seem to have been done prematurely (as in not giving them enough time to breathe), so I hope they do more later on to support them. If not then I think people who only watch the live action show are going to miss a lot of emotional impact since they don't know as much history as the animated viewers have. Concerning Kyoshi
  13. 2 episodes in so far, and they're nailing the story and presentation. I'll give the kid actors a pass on some of their performances, because they do better in the weightier scenes despite not being good in the lighter ones. Also Kyoshi hot damn
  14. Get the 30 vigor quickly, which should be enough for Limgrave, Liurnia, and parts of Altus and Caelid. Have 40+ for Mountaintops. 50+ for the final boss rush, Mohgwyn, and Haligtree. Don't need go over 60 vigor until new game plus. If you find yourself getting better at the game then 40-50 Vigor is a good place stop to keep you from getting one/two shot and you can put more levels into damage stats.
  15. There have always been delays for mine across multiple PCs, especially when going to the 3D settings for individual games that takes forever to load the list of apps. Also the clunky nature of having a scroll bar in the 3D settings along with drop down menus that can be changed with the scroll wheel.
  16. One thing to note is you get less runes for killing bosses when you summon for help, whether you summon a real person or one of the few NPC sigils. Bosses are also harder with more HP and damage. Spirit Ashe summons don't affect rune drops though. Getting runes for levelling vigor helps so much in the early game.
  17. The old one is so slow though, and AMD's is surprisingly snappy. I doubt either one is more or less bloated concerning background processing, because both vendors install performance monitoring telemetry with their drivers.
  18. Nvidia is finally moving past Y2K software No more forced login No more absurdly slow UI interfaces
  19. If you stack buffs so if you do >150% more damage to an enemy than that enemy's HP you get more runes than barely killing them. And then obviously wear the Gold Scarab and eating Gold Pickled Fowl Feet for even more runes.
  20. These are going to be Microsoft's own design architecture and they're just going to use Intel's fabs to make them from what the article states. I suppose if Apple can produce highly competitive mid-power chips with TSMC, then Microsoft has the means to hire talented chip designers too.
  21. This S2 Reacher feels like a different character as it seems they needed loose pretenses to do all of the "cool" violence and quips. He's Jack Bauer combined with Punisher, and there were moments that seemed to hint he's "serial" and enjoys killing for killing's sake. And, ironically, so many times Reacher and his friends attacked first based on "assumptions."
