  1. BioShock straddles the line, but I think it does fall more on the FPS side because its actual shooting mechanics are given near-equal weight to the plasmid-based powers whereas in games like Deus Ex, Dishonored, and Prey, the gunplay is clearly an afterthought.
  2. Oh - that term has been around for ages! It kinda/sorta originated with the Looking Glass Studio games like System Shock and Thief. Immersive sim - Wikipedia EN.M.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  3. If we were to include an FPA like Metroid Prime, we might as well include an FPRPG like Deus Ex while we're at it! The problem is that neither of them are particularly stellar at the "S" part of FPS!
  4. 1. A seven year-old Israeli Bedouin girl is the sole casualty from the attack (she was injured by falling debris), She's in critical condition at the hospital. 2. The only infrastructure damage of which I am aware is very minor damage to two airbases in the Negev Desert. 3. Only to Netanyahu's pride.

No Rest for the Wicked on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM From Moon Studios, the award-winning developers of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps comes No Rest for the Wicked, a visceral, precision Action RPG set to reinvent the genre.
  7. It's one thing for a player to have this idea, but when it comes from someone at the executive level, it only really has one objective: reduction of actual compensation.
  8. And by "truly fantastic", I mean so goddamned bloody stupid that I'm actually embarrassed for the man that it actually crossed whatever the hell he has that passes for his brain: Yeah, Mike - I have zero doubt that you have thought about it for a while in the context of "What's a potential way that the actual salaries that developers are paid could be reduced? Hmmmm...oh wait - what do they do in the restaurant service industry again?" Now, I could see this being a way to throw a little extra support to small independent teams who self-publish relatively "minor" indie titles, but if you think for a minute that I'm gonna "tip" for AAA/AAAA titles, then I've got several bridges around the world that I'd like to sell ya!
  9. Fallout fans are trying to estimate Lucy's XP level, following TV show finale WWW.EUROGAMER.NET Following its debut last week, Fallout fans are trying to work out what level Amazon's protagonist Lucy is at by the end of the first series.
  10. From what I read over the weekend, the layoffs at Tesla will ultimately be closer to 20% of the workforce than 10%.
  11. Being Ice-T's agent must've been the easiest job in the world at that time. "Ice, I've got a script for to you to..." "I'll do it." "Are you sure you don't want to at least read..." "Nah - I'm good."
  12. This debuted tonight and I very much enjoyed the first episode! I think it really captured the impending sense of absurdity and desperation within Saigon in the days leading up to its fall to the NVA. Isn't that right, Uncle Ho?
  13. Well, let's face it - that bar isn't particularly high to begin with That being said, I'm very much far more engaged with this show than I ever was with The Last of Us series which I felt was overall just "fine" except for the absolutely standout third episode.
