  2. I forgot to give a canadian update but I took my in-laws yesterday to get their first dose of Pfizer. I couldn't be happier about it. Funny that a few weeks ago it was a huge struggle to convince them they should get a shot when the AZ was available, my father in law was convinced it would not do anything, but on friday the city of toronto dropped the age restriction down to 60 and now they were ok to get it. Then after getting it they were bugging me how I was able to book it so quickly because their friends want to get one as well (when back during AZ none trusted getting any shot). Anyways

  3. The action is deserving of the theater experience, but 85% of this movie deserves being on in the background as you’re scrolling through Twitter.

  6. Can't link anything at the moment, but my understanding is: AZ vaccine may be causing a rare autoimmune response that causes clotting (instead of just a normal immune response) The type of clotting is different (and more serious) then regular clotting The risk of clotting is very, very low, and most common in people under 35 (and apparently, women, who are always more susceptible to blood clotting) AZ was also not tested properly on older people (not enough in trial)—that was a separate issue, and as it turns out, not even an issue at all (works well in old people)

  9. This pandemic will not be under control until it is controlled worldwide. The longer its allowed to spread the more chances new variants that bypass current vaccines will pop up. Its in everyone's best interest to remove all hurdles.

  10. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey can be finished? I’ve played it for roughly 90 hours now, and there’s no end in sight. But I’m not complaining, because I’m enjoying living as a mercenary for hire in its big gorgeous world.

  12. This. The fact that they aren't more supportive tells you everything you need to know about your friends. The people that know you best can't imagine you doing something different because they are incapable of doing the same. It's about what that says about them, to them, not about you. They are projecting. @Fizzzzle

  15. I think a law designed to do nothing more than make it difficult to vote for people who vote against the party in power is fair to describe as suppression, even if people overcome those difficulties. The goal is to choose the electorate. The methods are making it difficult to vote. It does make it difficult to vote, for people who vote against Republicans. Saying that it "doesn't work" just because it may not meet the goal elides the reality. Especially because it allows for further suppression.

  19. I've been struggling recently with my world view on economics. I've long thought that we can have a mix of capitalism and socialism. I'd like to think we still can. It's becoming clear to me that even the scandinavian countries can only have the system they do because they rely on resource extraction and sweatshops from countries that don't have their same safety net. It's sort of becoming a mental crisis for me and I don't know how to handle it.

  20. You played Red Dead Redemption II the way that I’m playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The story and characters were the main draw of RDR2 for me, not the gameplay. It was serviceable enough to drive the story and characters, but I never found it to be all that engaging or fun TBH. The way that I played it was more like an interactive movie than a virtual world that I lived in. But it’s the opposite with Odyssey, the gameplay is the main draw for me and I feel like I’m living as a mercenary for hire in a virtual world while playing it. The main storyline is actually a somewhat small part of the

  24. I’m having a blast with this game. I’m currently level 14, world tier 6. I just got to im playing as a pyro and I am lighting everyone up. LMG/Sniper is working great. my only complains are that the class tree is huge and leveling has really slowed down. Im not sure how far I am into the game but I really don’t see how you’ll unlock even half the tree. Also - In the beginning the world tiers leveled up pretty quick but I’ve been stuck on 6 for a while and I’m still only about 1/2way to 7. playing solo hasn’t been bad, but I’m sure playing with a group would be

  26. Yeah I agree. It would be really refreshing to me if they honestly just kept to a single environment even... like if the entirety of RE1 took place in the mansion with just a few weird rooms that hint at something bigger going on, I think I’d be into that.

  30. Now I'm trying to imagine what Lebron, with his build, could do as a goon in the 80s and 90s. Lawd, he'll steamroll everyone and he'd be known as the best defensive player ever before even getting into his offensive game.

  31. The intent to make a bad faith effort to attempt to restrict the franchise based on a complete lie is important. Especially so since the white party in a historically discriminatory state is making these moves right after Black and Latino voters voted in numbers that caused the white party to lose multiple elections. If you don't think the intent here is important then I dunno man.

  33. The mere fact that Jordan did what he did while playing in a league that actually played defense and had rules that didn’t completely favor offense makes it difficult to compare against Bron on a “who would win in a 1 on 1?” sort of way. But if you compare them in relation to the competition they face, I do believe LBJ is better than the average NBA player of his era than Jordan was to the average NBA players of his era.
