  1. It's about bloody time SoftBank finally profited from one of their investments

  4. It's such an inane argument at this point because you can just look at the various studies that have looked at total excess mortality compared to an average year and see how much higher it is. It doesn't matter what gets written on the death certificate if people are ending up dead all the same. But I guess if you're willing to believe that the pandemic is fake you're also willing to believe that the excess mortality is actually due to secret antifa murders or something.

  5. It's not "Old Madden" though. It's 5 month old Madden. You're acting like they are putting Madden 19 in EA Play with Madden 20 launches. It's putting the new Madden in 5 months later. Of course there are a lot of Football fans that will want the new Madden Day 1, but again, they won't be getting huge deals on used Maddens during the new football season. And if they do care about buying it cheap on the used market, they can then just play it as part of their subscription at that point.

  6. @Ominous "ts industrial design enables us to deliver four times the processing power of Xbox One X in the most quiet and efficient way, something that is critically important in delivering truly immersive gameplay. We also designed Xbox Series X to support both vertical and horizontal orientation. It's bold and unique, very much like our fans around the world and the team of collaborators and innovators who built it" https://www.windowscentral.com/yes-xbox-series-x-can-be-used-horizontally-well-vertically

  7. I think getting someone to buy from your store exclusively is worth taking a large loss up front. $100 will make it more attractive than $50.

  8. It is. I had to create a custom downmix for our drive ins to make dialogue comprehensible. Tons of scenes where music and sound effects just straight overpower the dialogue.

  9. I've still been enjoying leveling my characters. Content is repetitive but what game of this type is it not? At least running the same missions has random enemy variety so it's not the same exact encounters over and over.

  10. Great video... this is pretty much the direction DC is going in and I approve. It's ALL canon.

  12. Insisting on canon is just insisting on consistency in storytelling. People will accept changes that make things better, but nobody would say it's unreasonable nitpicking to dislike a book that kept majorly retconning its characters every chapter for no reason, or a movie that had a single character played by three completely different looking actors in the first, second, and third parts of the movie. Like with Klingons, going from the original series to the TMP/TNG style, people accepted that because the original design was obviously limited by 1960s budgets and makeup tech and now they actua

  14. It's called "concern trolling" and i WISH I came up with the term but I didn't. Some of this does seem like that because for awhile the popular sentiment was "Who still buys physical media?" MS releases an all digital console that is designed to be used in conjuction with their gamepass service and its like "But I won't be able to buy used games!". The used game market has been steadily dying for YEARS, one because digital sales have been increasing and TWO, because the big retailers do so many sales that you can often get the game brand new for cheaper than what Gamestop would sell used. 15. Physical media for consoles is on the way out, and in the wake of the pandemic who wants to be buying used shit from possible infected sources. Some of the shit being posted here reminds me of the phrase that I believe @skillzdadirecta used not to long ago "Concerned Trolling"

  16. The used game market is so healthy, that Gamestop is closing 450 stores this year on top of the over 300 they closed last year. This article is from yesterday.

  17. So what if a sword is thrown (and is thus a projectile), will it penetrate the shield? Why not design guns that shoot beneath the shields' protection threshold? Moreover they have the technology to create shields that block lasers, but their technology is insufficient to create shields that block blades? What a stupid book/movie!

  18. Obviously, as I never said otherwise. Microsoft is forcing users to get Gamepass with this device, because the value is great for those selections of games. However, game pass does not give you the big yearly titles like CoD, 2k, Madden, Ubisoft games, etc, and these games are easily and cheaply found as used discs, and these are titles that people who buy the budget console would get.

  20. Maybe not true, but every parent I know is a bad parent on one level or another compared to my standard. Most are floating through life, not even realizing the level and weight of the responsibility of bringing new lives into this world. So yeah, parents mostly suck, fuck 'em. It's anecdotal evidence, I grant, but it's not like the news dissuades me from this notion at all either on a macro scale. It reaffirms it.

  24. I'll start off with a well-known one: Bo Jackson on Tecmo Super Bowl. He's twice as fast as every other player, and he can effortlessly break tackles. In case you haven't played Tecmo Super Bowl, this video should give you an idea of how overpowered he was.

  25. Exactly this. I never understand the “iT lOoKs JuSt LiKe ThIs OtHeR gAmE” crowd. Who gives a shit? Tomb Raider is a lot like Uncharted, except Tomb Raider is better in every single way. If this is like BotW only they improved upon the formula and added a few of their own touches? Then count me 100% the fuck in. Give me as many BoTW but better clones as you possibly can.

  27. Why would you buy a 5700XT when it came out? Maybe because it offers competitive raster performance at its price point? Ray-tracing is nice but it kills performance on RTX 20 series cards, and both it and DLSS have minuscule game support. Beyond that it's really just speculation on what the future holds.

  29. Breath of the Wild with active abilities? Count me in. The combat kind of sucked ass in BotW, it was very basic and hampered by an inventory full of weapons that broke too fast and broke up the flow of combat too much. A potentially good idea squandered by awful UI and clear lack of leadership to cement a vision. I didn't watch too much of this, but I hope it has a lot of world interaction like BotW. That's the kind of stuff I want the most, gimme that and good combat and I don't care if it's a clone or not.
