The whole national anthem at sporting events that don’t involve national teams playing IS dumb. I don’t participate in that foolishness at regular sporting events.

After watching Aladdin and Lion King I've really felt like these remakes were at best, unnecessary. This continues to look like an actual take on the story and not just a beat for beat remaster, so I'm in.

This past summer I got club tickets to a Pirates game, and I happened to be sitting at the club bar when they played the anthem...By the time I realized everyone around me was standing it was too late, and the guys standing right behind us shit talked us and walked away. And when I say I was at the club bar, I don’t mean there was a window that opened up to the field, I mean we were on the interior of the stadium and could only see/hear the anthem through the TV on the wall. I wish they would have stuck around so I could ask them if they stand at home whenever the anthem is played.

The stinger at the end of Fast Five told us that Letty was returning in the next movie. For me this was surprising but not terribly shocking that they are using the return of a beloved character to get people to see the movie. I don’t personally care that Han is in the trailer. What I do mind is that he’s in the thumbnail on YouTube, so I was spoiled before even clicking play. That would have been a nice surprise to see within the context of the trailer! Instead I saw it as a tiny image first and it was anticlimactic. Marketing has become so soulless.
