  3. Well this game has done it. It got me so damn bored I went and bought a Call of Duty for the first time in 8 years!! In the hopes finding fun in video games again. I feel like I’ve been wandering in the desert of boredom for months only to finally crawl out of it and accept a drink of literally anything because I’m dying of thirst. Had more fun in 20 min Zombies than my entire 30+ hours so fan in RDR. I’ll try revisiting this summer.

  4. They couldn't get asylum doing that though. Earlier this month Trump tried to prevent all claims of asylum from anyone entering the country illegally, which includes anyone just walking up to the border, no matter how calm they do so. Since that order was temporarily suspended claims are still being processed, but extremely slowly. At San Ysidro (where the protests happened) there were 3000 names on a waiting list before the caravan arrived, and they're only processing 100 a day.

  8. So for those of you in the know, Deadly Class is a hell of an amazing graphic series published by Image Comics and takes place in the mid-80's focusing on teenagers in school...a school for training assassins! It's a totally out there concept and the "clique-ish" behaviors are transcribed between Triads and Nazis and Yakuza as well as Gangsta's from the streets, it's trippy as all hell (sometimes LITERALLY) and written by Rick Remender. Thing is, Deadly Class will be premiering on SyFy January 16th and Henry freaking Rollins is going to be the Poisons Professor which brings us to t

  9. I really like it. It’s an old school RPG with modern touches. My main gripe with the game is that the MC doesn’t talk, which hurts some really good story moments. Besides that, it is up there with Persona 5 as my favorite JRPG this generation. The end game content is surprisingly great. I loaded it just to see what it would be about with zero intention to play it, but now feel compelled to finish it. The game deserved to sell better out in the West. SE didn’t help the game out with its release date. If it launched in July like the Japan version, I think it would have done much

  11. I suspect nothing will happen even if the Dems have a great 2020 and take back the Senate and presidency. And this is not to knock Dems too much for the likely inaction. The Obama and Trump admins have shown us that with near complete partisan gridlock a new president, even a very successful one, now gets one big bill. Obama got Obamacare, and Trump got his tax cuts. If you wanted to invent a problem to fuck humanity up, you would be hard pressed to design one better than climate change. It is the proverbial lobster in a pot. Because the effects are almost always going

  18. A 590 is not a worthwhile upgrade from a 480 even under ideal conditions. They are the same chip and architecture; the 590 can just hit higher clock speeds and thus squeak out more performance. You'll want to be looking at minimum a Vega 56 or GTX 1070-level of performance to get a worthwhile bump. Your i5 will start to hold you back though. Consider picking up an i7 3770k and you could probably get better performance (more consistenty, fewer stutters, better framepacing, higher minimum framerates) in quite a few games with your RX 480.

  20. I was hoping to finish the story before online came out, but I keep getting sidetracked. Also, ultimate edition only has a one day headstart. Anyone who played RDR2 on launch day can play the following day, played on launch weekend gets in the following day, everyone else the day after.

  23. I don't think that matters. Alien 3, Alien: Resurrection, Alien: Covenant, and Alien vs. Predator used the singular form, but all featured multiple aliens and predators.

  25. I can confirm that the August Smartlock Pro does both of these flawlessly. Our lock has worked every time without fail. The August Doorbell Cam, on the other hand, has been spotty at best, but I'm still really happy I have it. With the August lock, you're only replacing the inside part, not the exterior. They don't sell an exterior or full lock set. And as stated above--the deadbolt has to line up perfectly when the door is closed for it to work properly. The weather sealing on our front door isn't particularly thick, and when we closed and locked the doo

  26. Im pretty sure you can say that about all the platforms right now. I ran away from Smartthings and now have a bigger headache with Home Assistant (im not great with coding). The biggest problem with that lock is that it's cheaply built. Im not sure of the pricing right now, but $200+ dollars should buy you a nice product, not the software.

  28. To me, the benefit of a smart lock would have to include: 1) Can it confirm that my deadbolt is engaged 2) Can it reliably lock / unlock remotely The August smart lock pro seems like the closest to that, but I don’t know that it’s quite there yet.

  30. I'm not particularly worried about security, I mostly bought mine for the convenience. So, setting aside the security of the Kevo, as someone who owns two of them I can say that my fundamental problem with them is their inconsistency. Mine are supposed to do two things: lock when I run routines through Alexa ("I'm leaving", "goodnight", etc.) and allow me to open the door with my phone. Neither thing is consistent enough that I feel I can rely on it. Both work most of the time, and I don't really keep track of these things, but the bottom line is that I don't feel comfortable leavi

  32. That is funny to think about. A strong door and lock can be great for an apartment on a higher floor. But when you think about a residential house, a quick rock through a window and suddenly someone is walking right in. I was trying to find a Consumer Report magazine I have because they usually review door locks like these. Can't find it at the moment though. I think their tests include some sort of a kick test which not every review site does.

  33. The lock completely failed 😂 He was just surprised and wanted to figure out what happened. Honestly though, no residential lock will do anything other than stop good guys from getting in. They are all built with a lot of plastic these days and are very susceptible to being picked, bumped, or kicked in. Just a note, I was a locksmith for 10 years and my Dad still is, so I stay pretty current on all this stuff.

  35. The biggest problem with these are the way your door shuts. My front door is a bit difficult to shut all the way so I would probably get locking errors. Other issues I've heard is that they work 90% of the time but that 10% is bothersome. Im personally looking into the Schlage locks. August is also a good option, that a few users here have. I wanted the Kevo until I saw this video
