I get wanting to distance themselves from Marvel, but this ain't the way to do it. Frankly, I can't think of a better rebuttal to this idea than the following:

Yeah. Sometimes I wish the older TV people could influence DC's movie departments.

Yes. I spoke too soon. It's a remarkable improvement over the 290x's cooler.

Reference cooler on the 295x2 is the best reference cooler.

One radiator for 500 watts? Dubious.

Edit: Upon further examination, its cooler is actually fantastic, under the insane circumstances. My bad. Anandtech explains the tradeoff here: http://www.anandtech...295x2-review/17

The existing Maxwell parts on the market, the Geforce 750 and 750 Ti, have demonstrated double perf/watt in comparison to Kepler. I would be very surprised if high-end Maxwell chips don't show quite substantial performance improvements in the high-end and mid-range categories, and, in my opinion, NVIDIA has learned a lot from its past shitty reference cooling parts. The Titan cooler really is the best reference design on the market (especially compared to 290x's godawful cooler, performance be damned.)
