Personally, I can't imagine them losing a whole lot of fans. I was so enraged by the changes made from Halo: CE to Halo 2, that I wanted to stop playing. But because it was Halo, I kept playing it anyway, and it turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time. I was also mad when I played the final product of Reach. Again, I wanted to stop playing, and actually started playing a lot more Battlefield, but a couple of weeks later, I was back to playing Reach again, and it is still by far and away my most played game at the moment. Do you know why? Because it's Halo.
Despite all these changes to certain fundamentals Reach made, and changes made to fundamentals with certain gametypes in Halo 4 as well, Halo 4 will still be unique when compared with any other series. While it might take influence from other shooters, which it always has, there will still be no other game out there that combines "shooting/movement/grenade/melee" combat into the perfect formula that is Halo.

True. And the fact that everyone that played it so far (including MLG pros) absolutely love it says it all. This game will be, to me, what Reach should have been. Other than this exaggerator/hater calling 343 crappy bungie, i havent heard anything bad from anyone that ACTUALLY played it.

I know, I was just agreeing with you.

Part of making a game the very best it can be is in fact, just making changes because it has to change. I figured you of all people would have at least understood this, being such a huge of Halo: Reach. The only way to keep as many people happy as you can is by offering a multitude of playlists. You act like this was so detrimental to Halo 3 (during its lifespan) and Halo: Reach. It's easy to find a match quickly in Reach, regardless of what playlist you're in, and the same went for Halo 3 back in the day. I've always loved the vast variety of playlists and gametypes in Halo.
You can make a game the best it can be right off the bat, but so many changes have been made to Halo over the last 10 years, that it's now impossible to please most of the fan base these days by taking one direction, and one direction alone. The only way to "keep the peace" so to speak, is by offering playlists that cater to the type of Halo people want to play. And if Halo 4 stays at least as populated as Halo: Reach, this shouldn't pose much of a problem, if any at all.

Hey, just because Halo has a ton of customisation options, doesnt mean that they want to actually use them. They just did that to get a better review score, not to get a lilttle variety in the playlists. Come on now. Every game should be played in the MLG playlist. Everyone is now happy.....oh wait, theyre not playing in that playlist......oh well.
