  1. Around the 13 minute mark they start talking about the physical aspects, including the face buttons getting stuck.
  2. Remember, this started as DLC for Hollow Knight. Then it kept getting bigger...
  3. From what I've heard, the buttons aren't great. Like the face buttons can get stuck in a depressed position. I also read about some person complaining about the right trigger (or was it right stick?) sometimes activating the touch screen as if it were being touched. Considering this device is from a fairly large company, that boggles my mind that this is how it was shipped. Very disappointing. Aside from that, the interface doesn't appear to be all that great. Honestly, the Steam Deck is more than enough for the type of games I'm looking to play on a handheld. But It's great to see it actually get some competition at a similar price.
  4. Would there actually be any available at MSRP? My understanding is that there is no founders edition for the 4070 ti, so the $799 USD price tag is more like $850+ USD. I took a quick look on newegg Canada at some prices and looks like it's going for $1200 - $1400 CAD. I'm debating selling my 3070 and picking up a 3080 (new, not used) as I'm not quite satisfied with the ray tracing performance on the 3070. The one I'm looking at says it requires at least a 750W PSU. Mine is exactly 750W. Could I run into any potential issues? I have a Ryzen 3800X and 16 GB of RAM (might bump that to 32 GB depending on how Returnal actually runs with 16GB).
  5. Go! Go! Kokopolo will be available at Limited Run Games tomorrow at 10 AM. They have Harmonious Forest Revenge, 3D Space Recipe For Disaster, a double pack and a collector's edition. Of course a limited number of copies will be available, so if you want one better be quick! @GameDadGrant @chakoo
  6. ^ Loved that game. I just finished Link's Awakening earlier today. It was... fine. I found the dungeons to be a bit tedious, though. Especially the 7th dungeon.
  7. I feel like they need to iron out all the software issues with Steam OS first. It has gotten much better from when I first got mine, but it's still not perfect. The last two titles I played both had audio issues when coming out of sleep mode, for example.
  8. I hated the d-pad on the lite. Eventuality I caved and bought an OLED Switch. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. The oled screen is nice, but everything else about it... less so. I've always felt the button layout on the Switch was uncomfortable and cramped, but after using the Steam Deck, I'm hating the button layout and design of the switch. It feels like it's meant for people with small hands. My hands aren't very big at all, but I find the button layout on the Steam Deck so much better. It's designed for normal sized hands. Also I got used to having the grips on my Steam Deck and nearly dropped the Switch twice recently. 😅. But aside from that, the performance bothers me a lot. There are a lot of indie games I want to purchase to have a physical copy of, but they either have performance issues or are locked at 30 fps. I've been playing Link's Awakening, and it's honestly frustrating. Any time a different area comes into view, the performance jumps from 60-30 fps for several seconds. It can be very jarring, and looks awful. Some people aren't bothered by this, but it's really turning me off from exploring as much as I want to. Oh, as for stuck drift, I haven't experienced any yet.
  9. Haha, I appreciate the response! I ended up getting a 256 gb micro sd card, but it's barely filled. Turns out with the Switch I prefer getting physical games, as I have 0 faith in Nintendo maintaining the availability of their digital games in the distant future.
  10. I just finished Death's Door, currently trying to get the last two achievements (need to beat the game with an umbrella, and go through the metal detector without triggering it). I started it Late on July 31st, so I'm counting it. Not sure what's next. Either Fire Emblem Fates Revelations, or Zelda, Link's Awakening on Switch... or wtv I'm in the mood for once I'm done with Death's Door. The game looks beautiful on the Deck.
  11. Got it when I was a kid. When it first hit me, my eyes started watering like mad. I was at school and some kid joked that I must be allergic to paper. The next morning I was freaking out because I thought I was blind. Turns out I just couldn't open my eyes due to all the crust that built up on my eyes overnight. It was gross.
  12. My first thought when seeing out was that it looks uncomfortable to hold. But in the screenshot of the YouTube vid, that just looks painful.
  13. Hades Link's Awakening Remake Breath of the Wild Death's Door Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation Maybe also Metroid Fusion and Dread Currently playing through Legend of Tian Ding. Fun game.
