Jason
if you wanted to get real tinfoil hat you might wonder if they split this season to use a popular show as a test run to see how well people tolerate the new Prime Video ads
TwinIon
Probably unnecessary to break out the tin foil for a show that has had production problems since it started.

Moa
Finishing up S1. Spoiler The thing I never really understand about these plots is why the all powerful god race is particularly concerned with earth. If what Viltrum has to offer is so great, then why do they need Omni-Man to subjugate the planet? If earth and humans are so meaningless and impotent, then why does Viltrum want to conquer them? I can see a super civilization benevolently spreading, or near-peer civilizations prisoner's dillemaing each other, but as the show explains it Omni-Man's mission and his way of going about it don't really make sense to me. Jason
Were the subtitles running majorly ahead of where the dialog was at for anyone else?
silentbob
Don’t watch with subtitles myself, so no idea. Still WOW! on its welcome back action/consequences. Is it from our reality or not for some events with the episode one villain setup. Plus I liked the bonus credit scene with one surprise and the other one not being that surprising. I did not, but I have had a problem lately with full screening the stream as the stupid playback overlay won't go away in full screen. I figured out a way (something to do with the position of the mouse on the screen) to get rid of it but I've forgotten what it was, either way it's stupid. TwinIon
This was the first thing I've watched on Prime that actually had regular ads spaced out in it. Not a fun change Amazon. Show continues to be good though.

Your show will be seen commercial free thanks to McDonald’s Canada” Then got the McD’a full anime 30sec ad and was good from there.

I dunno: the monthly annoys me for whatever reason.

Greatoneshere
A lot of things seem to be coming to a head all at once given the end of episode 6 that dropped today. Show is expanding out whilst keeping things character focused, really thought the conversation editing between Amber and Mark when discussing their relationship with others was really well done. Greatoneshere
The fight scene between Mark and Anissa the Viltrumite was pretty great, otherwise a very heavy and character building episode to lead in to the finale. It's been a weird break for this season as neither half feels like a lot has happened, but when you remember that season 2 was split into two and you combine them, a lot has happened this season. The universe continues to expand as we learn more about the Viltrumites. Here's to hoping the season finale next week ends strong.
Dre801
Mark had no chance in hell against Anissa. She's absolutely lethal, lol. This is one of those times, where listening to Cecil was a great idea.
Commissar SFLUFAN
I'm guessing the show will skip that particular event between Mark and Anissa from the comics.

Greatoneshere
Season finale was pretty good, taking time to cover a lot of the fallout with Angstrom Levy. I was a little disappointed in their confrontation given Levy's power and intelligence and the time he had to create a plan to take down Mark but there didn't really seem to be a plan, especially given how things end up. The episode didn't really feel like a season finale in some ways, it just felt like another episode of the show but clearly we're in the middle of a larger arc. I thoroughly enjoyed the season and look forward to season 3.
TwinIon
Watching through this season, I keep thinking they’re making excellent choices in where to diverge from the source material, even if it’s not all that often. This is a really great adaptation that I’m immensely enjoying and I really hope the wait for the next season isn’t too long. I agree that this felt like an odd place to leave the season, but I don’t think there are a whole lot of great season breaks in this story. Anywhere they leave it is going to feel unfinished, because it is. 2 hours ago, Greatoneshere said: Season finale was pretty good, taking time to cover a lot of the fallout with Angstrom Levy. I thoroughly enjoyed the season and look forward to season 3. My read on it is that, as evidenced by both the disfigurement and the flashbacks, is Angstrom is broken. He probably still did have the power to save worlds, and he probably did still have the intelligence to end Mark, but he’s broken in ways that prevent him from perusing either path well.
legend
Great episode. They're doing a good job selling the great power great responsibility idea in a very brutal and intense way!
silentbob
Loved the last episode and all the “cameos” Mark had on his journey. I like what it’s building up, but this season just felt very disjointed for me. Last years it was a pretty simple A to B plot with fun little side stories/events. This year I felt the bad guy was lacking the presence of bad things to come. Got blips at the end of an episode of 2, but from there to the last episode results felt too big of a jump to warrant the confrontation we got. Almost seems like they needed to build him up as a baddie a little more and wouldn’t have minded seeing more of his journey. Still the episode was tense and great character moments on the toll they go through. I was just happy to see Spoiler Josh Keaton voicing “Spider-Man” or Agent Spider again. He’s my fav Spidey voice actor since his stint on Spectacular Spider-Man. Plus we got Batman, Walking Dead and Mad Max: Fury Road
Moa
Solid episode, didn't realize the season was over though. I do wish the show was a little less coy with what the viltrumites are actually up to. They're basically offering fully automated luxury gay space communism, but everyone reflexively knows that they're evil because of the way that they are. I just wish someone would ask them a follow up question like, hey if what you have to offer is so great why are you enacting genocidal violence to make us take your great offer. It would be really funny if there actually is no catch, life with the viltrumites is perfect and we're just such a suspicious evil species that we can't recognize altruism when we're looking it in the face. Though that doesn't really work considering Omni-man's solution to the trolley problem.
Commissar SFLUFAN
As enjoyable as this season was, the break between the two halves didn't do the show any favors in maintaining an overall sense of momentum and continuity/consistency and really does contribute to an overall sense of "Wait - that's all we're gonna get for this season?" even though several significant events did occur.
