Lion Stout? Really good regardless, insanely good for how cheap it is.

Oh if you're strictly looking for the texture then basically look for any stout that comes off a nitro pour.

Go with the oatmeal stout.

Nitro stout is amazing, especially on tap. My favorite is Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout on tap. Bottled it isn't as good and I'd rather have a Guinness or Smithwicks.

Something to keep in mind is that Guinness in the US is like a lite stout. Most are heavier and double the alcohol. Also check into Porters.

Finding great stouts is like a life goal that is hard. There are many good ones but few that blow my mind.

@Tyresian

Old Rasputin Imperial Russian Stout.

That's all you will ever need.

Old Rasputin was my introduction to imperial stout. What's great is I had no idea what I was getting myself into, I bought it completely on a lark on the criteria that it was in the craft beer section of the supermarket, and that I liked the packaging. What an awesome outcome beer to open up considering I was making a 100% uninformed purchase. :daydream:

I think I'm sitting on a bottle of either that or the oaked one (maybe one of each?). That's probably getting to the point where I should be drinking it, if it hasn't already gotten there.

I'll pick some up. I've seen it many times, I don't think I ever tried it though I was curious.
