Definitely a few games, but I can't imagine they'd go beyond five.

Maybe I'll be surprised though.

It's a bull shit play. I have to say and I believe this 100% because of his past with getting into trouble, he just is an excited man, can't control his actions, kinda like a defect with a guy who just can't keep his cool, I think needs anger management .I don't think for 1 minute he was trying to severely hurt harden and hamper his career even more than it already was. Hence, his name world peace, he wants a better image.  He just has emotional issues obviously, I think at times he can't control it! But emotions aside, he deserves to be suspended.

It was an intentional swing.  He may not have meant to clock the guy right in the dome, but he was swinging his elbow to hit.

There was no mistaking that elbow. He straight had some intent there. One doesn't swing elbows that high in "excitement". He deserves what is coming his way.

I can't say that I've ever seen someone wind up and take a swing with their elbow like that as part of a celebration.

if hardens face was turned toward the elbow, this could have been devistating, maybe career ending for Harden. Maybe, I mean, that looked full force. He could have done that and smashed his nose or cheek bones if that wasn't the back of Harden's Pardon the pun, "hard head"

A quick glance makes you think it was unintentional. It doesn't look like he even knew Harden was there.

But as others have said, it's hard to think it wasn't intentional because he's not swinging his elbow like that to celebrate.

I think OG is right in that this is just the instinctive reaction of a guy who, no matter what he says and does when he THINKS about things, is just a danger to everyone on the court because he's got something bad rolling around in his brain.

I really think that could have been Kobe or anyone else on the Lakers because Artest didn't do it TO Harden. He did it because he felt someone there, and for some reason his brain just clicked and told him, "Elbow that shit!".

I don't even know how long he should be suspended. If it were anyone else, I would say 4 or 5 games. With Artest, I don't even know. I still remember the brawl at the Palace.....I wish the guy would just retire because he's an embarrassment to the league. And that's coming from a guy who wishes we could go back to the harder fouls of the 80's and 90's.

GOOD INPUT ALSO MAN. Also notice, unless his sense of touch isn't working, lol, harden was touching his body side to side before he put his elbow back, so right there, well, he knew there was at least a body there, again, don't think he knew his head was right there (or maybe he did) but to know that there was someone right there, why the hell would you do that?

And is reaction after, looks like he wanted to make it worse by wanting to fight...Kinda what he did with that whole Indiana/Detroit thing, he just lost it.

It's well established that he has more than a few screws loose in his head.  He could die in a shoot out with police or go to jail for murder and nobody would be surprised.
