Moving and serene pieces of classical music

Classical music can certainly span the gamut from some very aggressive to very slow pieces, but I was thinking it might be nice to focus on the serene. I'm not really familiar with many classical composers outside of history's greats like Bach or Mozart or whoever. TheGlassPassenger sent me something from a more recent composer and I loved it and decided that it would be nice to grow a collection of music like it.

While I think that some of the pieces can evoke feelings of loneliness or sadness, I think for the most part I'm looking for music to slow down to. Something that can let you take a deep breath and slow down. So here are my first two contributions even though they're from Glassenger :P

Since you already mentioned Bach:

And then there’s Pérotin:

Or Marin Marais:

If you enjoyed any of these then give me a shout and I’ll post some similar artists and songs.
