Is there a setting to turn off auto-playing embedded YouTube videos?

It makes browsing topics at work a bit of like trying to avoid land mines. I think something is relatively safe and suddenly my phone blasts Rage Against the Machine going “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” because it was in somebody’s post just waiting for me to scroll by.

I honestly had no idea that the embedded YouTube videos autoplayed because they definitely don't do that for me.

I'll check in the admin control panel, but it's just not something that I was aware was even happening.

Try:

Open/play a video from  Youtube's website.

On the control bar for video playblack, on the right side there should be a button toggle for Autoplay On/Off.

This might be a setting for all YT videos, on their own site as well as embedded.

I've also got an extension installed on Chrome called Enhancer For Youtube that can disable autoplay.
