The 2990WX kicks ass in just a handful of tests, but in applications that use all the threads WHILE needing memory, it completely chokes. The 2950X with half the CPUs doesn't have this problem and so can often beat its larger brother in many productivity tests (and games).

However, it does seem like the perfect storm working against Intel right now and playing in AMD's favor. I just think it will be much more difficult than the author assumes for Intel to have 'no chance' against AMD. My bet is Intel comes out swinging really hard after 2020. -
