Update on the single-device/browser login restriction issue some people are having.   04/04/2017

4/7/2017 update: Now people who've been affected by this are saying that it went away on its own after about a week. So I dunno, if this would really hugely inconvenience you try to not log in on additional devices/browsers until the 4.2 update that's supposed to hopefully resolve this for good.   original announcement: For a long time now, D1P has been limited to three logins at a time; logging in on a fourth device or browser would log you out everywhere else. Unfortunately, multiple people have been reporting that they've started experiencing being limited to ONE login at a time.   The good news is, Invision Power Services (the company that makes our forum software) is aware of the issue and will be addressing it in version 4.2 of the software, which is the next big update. The bad news is, they announced about a month ago (the beginning of March 2017) that the update will be coming out in "mid 2017", so we probably have at least another couple of months to go before this is resolved.   In the meantime, I apologize to those affected for the inconvenience, and would suggest to everyone else to not log in to additional devices until this is resolved if this is something you don't want to have to have to deal with. I'm still not 100% sure on why it's not affecting everyone and why it didn't hit everyone affected at the same time, but the timing of when the reports of this started here mostly lines up with when I've seen reports of other sites having this issue starting, and I suspect that the problem is trickling in because of people happening to hit a fourth login that logs them out everywhere else, and then proceeding to be limited to one login at a time after that.

  1. More videos here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=41005501&postcount=161
  2. Blood Gulch again? Enough with that god damn map!!
  3. True. And the fact that everyone that played it so far (including MLG pros) absolutely love it says it all. This game will be, to me, what Reach should have been. Other than this exaggerator/hater calling 343 crappy bungie, i havent heard anything bad from anyone that ACTUALLY played it.
  4. Full panel video 52 minutes:
  5. Hey, just because Halo has a ton of customisation options, doesnt mean that they want to actually use them. They just did that to get a better review score, not to get a lilttle variety in the playlists. Come on now. Every game should be played in the MLG playlist. Everyone is now happy.....oh wait, theyre not playing in that playlist......oh well.
  6. Ya well they didnt fix any of that with the new Forge. The maps will all still look the same in each of the areas...And its funny how Stephen always says how 343 havent proved anything (and they havent) and yet, Certain Affinity (ex Bungie guys) are the ones who worked on this Forge. And as it turns out, its the most disappointing part of Halo4 for me thus far. The ex-Bungie guys are the ones who made the weakest part of Halo 4 thus far. How ironic. http://ca.ign.com/ar...orge-for-halo-4
  7. Its called Halo3 and Halo Reach. Go play them.
  8. Everything else has blown me away, SP, MP, Ops, map design, graphics, sounds, everything. Forge is the first real let down for me.
  9. After 3 years of working on the game, Forge really disappoints me. You still cant change the time of day, or the colors of the pieces. Forge seems to have practically not evolved at all. There will be 3 Forge areas and all the maps built in those individual areas will have the same "all look/feel the same" like in Reach. Im very let down by Forge. Seems to me like they are purposefully not improving it much to sell us more Forge areas via DLC.

  11. First link is Forge, second is gameplay of the 3rd map at E3. Forge Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIYlP5FVPJQ Gameplay Video
  12. Does that mean its 4 times more powerful than PS4???
  13. This game sounds better and better with every new tidbit of info.
  14. I dont think it requires an install, i think it requires that much room to be available. And lets be honest, if you play online regularly, you also have room for this. And if youre one of the few that actually dont, a USB stick is about 8-12$. Theres no excuse other than to complain. Here are some of the responces from someone at 343 named Stinkles: (neogaf, i think its Frankie) http://www.neogaf.co...t=481037&page=4 Q: This is a good thing. Not sure why some are taking it as otherwise. A: Some men just want to watch the world burn. Anyway, this only affects MP players. MP players have XBL Gold. XBL Gold users are dramatically more likely to have HDDs. Q: No question A: We did actually explain all this at and before E3. Also interesting fact for statistics fans: this very thread has 100 times more people directly affected than average! Q: Microsoft is actively selling a console RIGHT NOW that won't let you play Halo 4 multiplayer without buying add-on memory. I shouldn't need to update my console just to play a game, especially from a first party developer. A: It's not ideal, but the actual gameplay experience will be much smoother as a result and some of the things we're doing are only possible with this requirement. I am surprised to hear you don't have a HDD Fyre, the numbers would suggest you're a very rare edge case - a serious Forge/Map creator with XBL and no HDD. Q: Can you say if MP means Spartan Ops or War Games? A: Absolutely both. We have been clear on this since day one. Spartan Ops in particular will be delivering content to your Xbox via Live. Let me be 100% clear, this is not an attempt to get you to upgrade to an HDD. The numbers affected are quite small and we went to significant effort to ensure this worked on a (relatively) cheap 8 Gig USB stick (and to the point in the post above, ANY stick that meets the speed and reliability minimums, absolutely NOT just MS branded media) for the odd case where someone had XBL and no storage. This is entirely in service of a good experience in the game.
