  1. Easy Wordle 1,014 3/6* ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Not my day Connections Puzzle #292 🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟨🟪🟦🟪 🟪🟦🟪🟪 🟪🟪🟪🟨 🟦🟪🟪🟨
  2. Dandadan is my most looked forward to anime this year. Science Saru is also a phenomenal choice for studio. We've still got to get through the whole spring and summer seasons, though. There are a bunch of anime returning for new seasons this spring. You've got the third season of Reincarnated as a Slime, The Irregulare at Magic High School, Sound Euphonium, and Konusuba. The second season of Tsukimichi. Another season of Demon Slayer, One Piece, My Hero Academia. Those are all mostly eh for me. I might catch an episode here and there to relive a part of the manga I really enjoyed, but that's about it. I think the biggest hit this season will probably be Kaiju No. 8, assuming it's a good adaptation. It does have some real talent working behind the scenes, so I'm hopeful it'll be good. I also think Viral Hit could be a nice sleeper. The first few arcs of that manhwa are so much fun. If the anime can translate that onto the screen, we'll be in for a good time.
  3. You might be thinking about Bulla, Vegeta's daughter, who was a baby in the DBS Broly movie. I don't remember if Goku met Bulla, but her debut was definitely there. That much I remember because until then Bulla was always older than Pan thanks to DBGT, but DBS swapped them around and made Pan the older of the two girls.
  4. No, she wasn't born yet. During that fight with Beerus they needed to perform the God ritual, but they were one Saiyan short until Videl announced that she was pregnant with Pan. Fast forward to now and Goku barely remembers any of that.
  5. Dragon Ball Super is a monthly series and this chapter came out last week with the magazine probably going to print a couple of weeks before then, so I'm going to assume this chapter was worked on a couple of months ago. Toyotarou, himself, confirmed it on Twitter. This was his original storyboard... And these are the changes Toriyama made... Toriyama was absolutely correct in his choice here. Having the chapter end with five panels of the characters' backs is off putting. Having Piccolo turn back before the camera then also turns back to end on the faces of Piccolo and Pan's teacher flows way better. Toriyama has always done a great job with framing and the flow of action from panel to panel and this is a perfect example of it.
  6. Well, fuck. Toyotarou has confirmed that the last thing Toriyama ever did for the Dragon Ball manga was suggest adding Piccolo waving goodbye in the second to last panel here. This entire sequence of Goku finally meeting Pan was already quite lovely without knowing it was Toriyama's final addition with his all time favorite Dragon Ball character.
  7. I think everything is about context. Bayonetta is a big brash, in your face campy schlock. Her over the top titillation fits the genre. I think Stellar Blade is only getting any attention because it's become some sort of crazy Gamer Gate 2.0 lightning rod for what women in games should look like. Those people are really trying to get this whole thing rolling again with their attacks on Sweet Baby and the like. I'm fairly certain this is all manufactured outage and it's no coincidence this is all happening in an election year that sees Republicans going hard on DEI efforts. I don't think you'd find many serious people complaining about sex scenes in games. I think a good example of this would be Mass Effect and The Witcher. They both came out in 2007 and nobody was complaining about Mass Effect's sex scenes. Now, there were plenty complaining about The Witcher's sex scenes that treated sleeping with every woman you can find as some sort of weird trading card game. Mass Effect wasn't problematic, but The Witcher was. I think that's a fairly easy line to draw. It's not sex or nudity that's problematic. At the same time, nobody is really targeting Subverse. It's all about context. Reality TV is trash TV and we sort of expect it to be. I think it would entirely depend on the context of the situation, but I'm also having a hard time imagining a not exploitative scenario where Aloy gets naked.
  8. The first group you're talking about isn't really going after Bayonetta because that's kind of her whole schtick. I'd say there's a big difference between a character like Bayonetta and, say, Aloy. The number of people complaining about Bayonetta is wildly dwarfed by crazy people who think Aloy isn't attractive enough in post-apocalyptic open world kill the robot dinosaur game. There's room for everything in this world, but the first group isn't the one making every comment sections toxic and sending death threats to developers. I think a lot of companies could do better. I look at Nintendo's roster of Mario characters and all I am think is "Hey, you've got three princesses. Really couldn't have hurt to give Rosalina a bit of melanin, right?" My 5yo's two favorite fictional characters is Princess Peach and Ghost Spider. However, she's dictated that any game I play that has a character creator means I need to have to play as a brown girl with curly hair, just like her...well, except she's got to have pink hair, just because. That's why my Pokemon trainer looks like this... And my PC in Starfield like this... Would be nice to get more options in games that don't have character creators. I think these toxic gamers complaining about this stuff are just naive to the fact that even the "curvy girls" and fan service is just pandering. If they think "forced" inclusivity is pandering to people that aren't them, they're completely ignorant to the fact that the stuff they're asking for has always been pandering. These scantily class women only ever existed in stuff like games, anime, and comics to pander to young boys. Why? Because it was easier for an 11yo to sneak copies of Power Girl than Playboy back in 1992. However, it's 2024, the Internet is right there, and kids don't even have to figure out the code to unlock Cinemax anymore. Kids these days don't even have to worry about their parents wondering why their VHS copy of True Lies runs kind of funny around a certain Jamie Lee Curtis scene...what?

  10. Yeah, but have you ever thought of how seeing a man cry, a woman shaped like a body builder, or even a queer person might ruin the artistic integrity of these games designed in board rooms with PowerPoint presentations based on market research and urges from capital investors and the stock market? If people really need to get the rocks off on virtual men, women, and everything in between there are more than a few of us on here that can direct them perfectly repulsive hentai. I won't kink shame.
  11. I absolutely adore Baba is You, but I'm apparently too dumb for this game because halfway through it just lost me. Once I find myself staring at a single screen of puzzle for like an hour straight, no closer to solving it, I just had to move on. I still wholly recommend everyone give the same a shot. It's one of the most unique, fun, and clever logic/puzzle games ever made. Like you said, just, maybe, a little too clever after a while.
  12. Oh, the horror of suggesting that devs should avoid negative gender stereotypes for both male and female characters if they want to reach a larger audience. Male characters with a full range of emotions? Female characters with armor that matches its function? The absolute travesty. What a dumb article title for an incredibly benign recommendation from Microsoft. I swear, gamers are some of the whinest bunch of people on the planet. I remember the collective shit gamers threw when Nintendo first started throwing optional difficulty reducing items in Mario games. Games being enjoyed by more people than just me? I'm utterly verklempt.
