  1. The portrait of Andrew Jackson in the background is a classy touch. This.
  2. Millenials are fucked [nsfw]

Some of Obama's words about this topic during his farewell speech. But for all the real progress we’ve made, we know it’s not enough. Our economy doesn’t work as well or grow as fast when a few prosper at the expense of a growing middle class. But stark inequality is also corrosive to our democratic principles. While the top 1% has amassed a bigger share of wealth and income, too many families, in inner cities and rural counties, have been left behind – the laid-off factory worker; the waitress and healthcare worker who struggle to pay the bills – convinced that the game is fixed against them, that their government only serves the interests of the powerful – a recipe for more cynicism and polarization in our politics. There are no quick fixes to this long-term trend. I agree that our trade should be fair and not just free. But the next wave of economic dislocation won’t come from overseas. It will come from the relentless pace of automation that makes many good, middle-class jobs obsolete. And so we must forge a new social compact – to guarantee all our kids the education they need; to give workers the power to unionize for better wages; to update the social safety net to reflect the way we live now and make more reforms to the tax code so corporations and individuals who reap the most from the new economy don’t avoid their obligations to the country that’s made their success possible. We can argue about how to best achieve these goals. But we can’t be complacent about the goals themselves. For if we don’t create opportunity for all people, the disaffection and division that has stalled our progress will only sharpen in years to come.
  3. New Dragon Quest VII trailer

The original PS1 game was a chore to play though with it's poorly paced job class growth. I'm looking forward to the quality of life enhancements that the remake offers.
  4. You should be ashamed of yourself for this post. The only holes I can think of are the holes in family member's hearts losing their loved ones and all the innocent people's bullet wounds. Shameful.
  5. The GOP should've distanced themselves from Trump the moment he began perpetuating the Obama birth certificate nonsense. Not racist nor xenophobic? Ridiculous.
  6. Star Fox Zero GameStop Pre-Order Bonus

I have high hopes and full faith in Platinum. I play the original SNES Star Fox regularly, and I had the opportunity to play my friend's reproduction Star Fox 2 cartridge recently. Many of the game play elements look similar to 2. Looking forward to it!
  7. Final Fantasy III PSP Vs. DS

The PSP version of Final Fantasy IV is also worth checking out.
  8. "Over the first six weeks since launching, Colbert beat Kimmel by an impressive 40 percent in the demo. But the week of October 19-23 saw Kimmel win the week over Colbert during his now-annual trek to Brooklyn, pushing the CBS host down to third place. The following week, Colbert beat Kimmel, but only by seven percent (“only” because the margin was once 40 percent a few weeks ago). And in the first week on November (2nd-6th), Kimmel won again over Colbert, besting him by 5% in both adults in the key 18-49 rating (0.60 vs. 0.57) and total viewers (2.626 million vs. 2.492 million)." The week of October that the article cites was a week of reruns. Colbert is doing fine. He's a good interviewer and the guests have been interesting. The band's music is excellent. The only people that don't like him are those that can't take a joke or are hyper-partisan.
  9. Interesting! Can anyone else confirm this? I never got around to playing Uncharted 3.
  10. It probably hasn't been re-released because of Gackt. The rights to use his image expired, if I remember correctly.
  11. What changes have been made to DQ7? I bought it at launch on PS1 and found it to have an extremely frustrating job class progression system. This is one where you pretty much have to have your characters mapped out way ahead of time, and you're constantly gaining/losing members in your party. The music and DQ charm was great though. Put 80+ hours into the game back in the day, and I was only at lv30 near the endgame. Gave up... DQ8 is a masterpiece through and through. I assume the 3DS version loses the orchestral soundtrack and voice acting?
  12. School districts were also receiving these armored vehicles. San Diego Unified (my own district) acquired one. Imagine my delight when Colbert reported on it. http://thecolbertreport.cc.com/videos/xq6f9b/military-vehicles-for-public-schools
  13. Konami IP's

    Give Gradius to Treasure.
  14. The only information I want is a release date. Trying to go into this game with as few media impressions and spoilers as possible, as this is a Monolithsoft title.
