  1. Heres the specs: Dell XPS 15z Intel i5 2.30GHz w/Turbo Boost 2.0 (up to 2.9ghz) Nvidia GeForce GT525M 1gb 6GB DDR3 He got it because he's going back to college and also picked the default monitor which is 720p max/native resolution (1280 x 720), which means less stress on the GPU since he wont be playing at 1920 x 1080.
  2. I don't own a Kinect but I've been thinking about getting one for two reasons: 1. The mod and hack support on the PC (check out some Garry's Mod vids) and 2. The headtracking in Forza 4. The thing that will sell me is a video showcasing the headtracking and if it will allow for using a physical wheel instead of a make believe wheel with your hands in front of you (the delay on that will be horrendous for a racing game). Any links by chance?
  3. 360 connection drops after loading a game disc

Well I turned off and then on my router and that worked. Didn't reset it or anything either.
  4. Tonight before playing a regular season game of NCAA 2k12 it said the EA servers or connection has dropped. Didn't matter since I don't play it online so I played for about an hour of my regular season then decided it was time to play some Mortal Kombat online. It still shows I'm signed in to Xbox live and I can party chat with my friends, btw. So I load it up and when I go to Xbox Live multiplayer on MK it says I have no connection or need to check my ethernet port. Its all fine since, again, I'm online and on Xbox Live talking to friends even. So I restarted a minute ago and I'm getting the same issue. Does anyone know WTF is up?
  5. So I got a new GPU and tested out Bad Co 2 last night

That's pretty much where I'm coming from.
  6. Needing to upgrade my GPU with a $250 dollar budget

I decided on the GTX 560ti. I could go higher if I wanted to be more future proof, but the fact of the matter is I need DX 11 support and I'm willing to play games at Mid-high settings in the next 4 years if needed. Plus I'd rather hold that money back to upgrade my mobo and cpu next year. Thanks for telling me what I pretty much already thought
  7. Needing to upgrade my GPU with a $250 dollar budget

Also I may be completely wrong on the "2.0 vs 2.1 PCI express" bottleneck. I honestly just need to know if my mobo will support a PCI 2.1 card or not.
  8. I'm running an aged Gigabyte Mobo that I'll link right here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128360 The bottle neck it looks like I'll run into with it is that it looks like it supports PCI Express 2.0 and not 2.1. Currently I'm running that mobo plus a Phenom II quadcore, 4gb ram and a Radeon 4800 from 08. I was thinking the Radeon 6770 was okay looking but I don't know if it will work with my motherboard. I was also looking at the Geforce GTX 560ti....what do you guys think?
  9. Accidental double post
  10. Thanks guys, and sorry for not seeing the thread. As long as I can run it at around 1680 x 1050 (my monitors native res) and at medium to high settings with a solid framerate over 30fps then I'll be fine. I may upgrade my videocard just for this game though
  11. Here's my rig: Phenom II quad core cpu 4gb RAM Radeon 4800 series (I'm at work and I haven't upgraded it in years so I can't tell you exactly which one it is off the top of my head) I can run most current games at High settings. Haven't played Crysis 2 or the expansion to the original, but I could play the original at high settings but not highest settings. My main concern is that I can get the game to run over 30fps solid with at least Medium-high settings. What do you guys think?
  12. I'm the same, but I fear for the longterm affects.
  13. I'm so bad at Street Fighter 4 lol

I'll be on between 7-10 central time probably off and on.
