  1. I went to see a girl I've been hooking up with and tried to turn it into something serious but come to find out relationships aren't her thing. Which is fine could have left if at that but after I left she had to make a big deal out of it (I guess I was stupid for bringing it up on her period). It's about a 3 hour drive home and about halfway home my dad calls me... Fuck this can't be good Gramma is gone So I go and pick my car up that is finally fucking fixed after 6 weeks and out to the family house... Dad's like "about an hour ago Johnny passed away (one of my Grandma's nephews)... Oh on a random fact it's also my step brothers birthday today. Anyhow my dad is looking for the will and can't find the key to the big safe or one of the small safety boxes. So I'm going through all the keys for the one box he can't find the key to (he found the keys to multiple other ones)... I find the right key and I open it up and attached to the inside of the lid is a letter "For Anthony" (hey that's me...)... I open it Anthony: I hid in the wall behind the toilet a safety box for you use it wisely. Grandpa P.S. Only use it if something happens to me and Grandma I find it and for fucks sakes he can hide a safety box in the wall but not tell me where the key is So I go back into the mountain of keys and eventually find the one. Inside is a bunch of old coins and some old bills including a $2 bill from 1964 in damn good shape... I bet a lot of this is really valuable but I can't use it it's all really valuable to me now

  8. If nothing else, it looks like he gave a lot of fun comedic actors a payday. I clocked Andy Daly as the Quaker Oats guy.

  13. The fight scene between Mark and Anissa the Viltrumite was pretty great, otherwise a very heavy and character building episode to lead in to the finale. It's been a weird break for this season as neither half feels like a lot has happened, but when you remember that season 2 was split into two and you combine them, a lot has happened this season. The universe continues to expand as we learn more about the Viltrumites. Here's to hoping the season finale next week ends strong.

  15. I don’t think you can really make any assumptions about anything in this election, more so than usual. We haven’t had a former president square off against an incumbent since the 19th century; we have more people telling pollsters that they dislike both candidates than we have ever had since we’ve been keeping track; and our media environment is so fragmented that no one can agree on wtf is going on. We had an insurrection at the capitol every moment of which was broadcast on the news, yet half the country believes it didn’t happen. We have a man running for president who was found guilty of sexual assault, with a charge for rape that a judge pronounced to be ‘substantially true’, yet half the country doesn’t even acknowledge it, and claims they’d consider voting for him. Unemployment is historically low and economic and wage growth is stronger than its been in decades yet when polled 4 months ago six in ten Americans say they think the economy is in recession. We are seeing a complete breakdown of the information ecosystem that allows voters to understand what’s going on in the world beyond their immediate environment, and a historic collapse of the civic norms that are the guardrails of democracy. We are not a republic of rational politics anymore, so rational assumptions are no longer a surefire guide to what our future looks like, especially in the matter of elections.

  16. The Woman actually insists we keep a landline in case the power is out/our phone batteries are dead and there's an emergency and we need to call 911. Yes, we have a landline in the incredibly unlikely scenario that a multi-day power outage has resulted in dead batteries for every cell phone for every person living in my house followed by a 911-required emergency after the last battery has hit 0%.
